Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of plastic injection molding machines.

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of production and building equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems.

• Identify repair needed, select repair procedure, order parts and complete repair or replacement of worn or defective parts using hand and power tools.

• Perform preventative maintenance operations on all equipment.

• Perform duties related to general facility maintenance.

• Operate cranes, lift molds and move presses as needed.

• Assist with the implementation of and abide by all F&M safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to:
  Lockout/Tagout
  Accident reporting
  Forklift Safety

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a maintenance mechanic

• Must have experience with injection molding machines

• Prior experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems

• Prior experience operating cranes and moving large, heavy pieces of equipment

• Prior experience working with robotics and PLCs a plus

• Basic knowledge of common standard computer programs (Word, Excel, email, etc.)

• Capable of reading and understanding various kinds of job related documentation, instruction manuals and standard operating procedures

• Able to communicate, write and read English Must be able to work independently and safely

• Must be able to work overtime as needed to cover off shifts
