Responsible for performing maintenance and repair of facility and equipment.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of plastic injection molding machines.
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of production and building equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems.
Identify repair needed, select repair procedure, order parts and complete repair or replacement of worn or defective parts using hand and power tools.
Perform preventative maintenance operations on all equipment.
Perform duties related to general facility maintenance.
Operate cranes, lift molds and move presses as needed.
Assist with the implementation of and abide by all F&M safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to:
Lockout/Tagout
Accident reporting
Forklift Safety
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a maintenance mechanic
Must have experience with injection molding machines
Prior experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems
Prior experience operating cranes and moving large, heavy pieces of equipment
Prior experience working with robotics and PLCs a plus
Basic knowledge of common standard computer programs (Word, Excel, email, etc.)
Capable of reading and understanding various kinds of job related documentation, instruction manuals and standard operating procedures
Able to communicate, write and read English Must be able to work independently and safely
Must be able to work overtime as needed to cover off shifts
